Dedicated to the memory of my sister Reissa and my brother Tony

About a month ago I turned 69 years old, and a while back I had decided that in my 70th year I would hike to the summit of Africa’s highest peak: Kilimanjaro. Shortly after sunrise on October 17, 2025, I managed to do just that.
